I bought the Canopus ADVC 110, super part is synonymous works, real-time preview and more wonderful. Now I've read that the company has NO power often resulted in damage. So I'm going now

So I'm just me with a 4-pin to 6-pin FireWire adapter hanged in between, this is then transferred via Firewire no more current than the 6-pin cable.

So at the moment is the ADVC (on the back, 6-card (pin connector) via 6-pin Firewire cable with the Firewire, 6-pin connector) connected to the PC. The Firewire card in the PC but synonymous still a 4-pin connector. So I would say I buy a 6-pin to 4-pin cable. Then, no current will actually come through the cable or?
