Infoseite // Audio reference level

Frage von gunman:

Hi,

I have a question s.die Tonspezialisten here in the forum and namely:

On my JVC GY HM 100, there is a setting for the audio reference level of the microphone. By default the setting is set at-20dB, but is synonymous to adjust - 12 dB.
The manual does not explain is what the difference between the settings.
Can someone briefly explain to me perhaps the impact of a change is the setting? When I try to Eindruch as if the level meter in the next attitude turn out as -12 dB at -20 dB, sure I'm not.
Thanks for an answer and
Happy Easter s.alle,

This is certainly so, for when specifying the input is -12 dB more sensitive than -20 dB. What now is the right setting for your photo shoots that you should try with test shots, just pay attention to the lautestmögliche sound source.
