I would hold a HDC-SD600 and like to know if there is any possibility to use the device as a webcam.
The camcorder can only record HD, so that probably hermüsste any software that converts the image down, because Skype would be the lines of most other party, the data rate anyway not stand when they could be transferred to Skype at all.
Outputs of the camcorder's USB, HDMI and AV are multi, which is displayed when connected via USB "can read only on the screen in Windows and the camera is recognized, but only as an SD Card (; such a put just as synonymous in it).

Warhorstl You can take the AV output and s.eine sg capture box? Connect. The box produces a data stream in SD-quality, compressed in the computer then. The compression codec can be selected. However, I see no point is to use the camera as a Web cam. Web cams are now für'n Appel and 'nen egg to buy.

I agree with Mash. In the spring of 2010 models (synonymous SD 600) was not yet supported.
Panasonic has equipped the SDX 1 (Fall 2010) synonymous a webcam option. The joy was soon over, when it became known that there coming out about synonymous only 640x480er quality.
Such a video camera is synonymous not focus on continuous operation, that is, one destroys everything.
Better times for a good webcam ask around in the computer store.
