Recently I quickly filmed a short interview with my SonyHDR-SR10. So far I never had problems with the AVCHD Files cut in Vegas and then to work otherwise. But Files that the interview can not import in Vegas (; Error: File not known).
I then plugged the cam again, and again tried to import directly s.der Sonyzu. Recovery Error. Also a convert to another format failed for any conversion tool (; tried 3 pcs) fail. Was already available on import or convert an error at the latest. Funnily I can easily look at the file with VLC. Only Vegas and various conversion software is nothing with it.
What could be wrong? My guess is yes to a defective AVCHD file. Are there viable Reparatur-/Recoverytools?
I am grateful for any input.
Greetings CTP

Hello CTP,
I think the other older files you have already run times have been tested to rule out any drivers / codec or the like is shot in windows.
VLC can do more than other players. VLC can play synonymous Files that have no ending. Your interview has an ending? . Mt2s? or so?
If VLC can play the file, you can convert it so that theoretically synonymous. If it works. VLC is indeed quite insensitive.
A renaming of the extension in eg. Avi or. Mpg I can think of. But so have no experience.
"Super" have you already tried? I do not know how the program is robust, but is actually very flexible.
But then most times dDeine memory card with "can" in
