Infoseite // Separate microphone volume with or without phantom power

Frage von Auf Achse:

Hello!

A few days ago I have a Sennheiser K6P power supply for my ME64 + ME66 bought. I have found that the same Micro with the K6 (; with Battery) has a much higher level than with the K6P (; phantom power). Difference: I have the K6-6dB with trim and the K6P with +12 dB brings me to an almost equal level.
Why is there such a big difference? The 48V phantom power is OK, I've measured it (; XH-A1s)

maybe you've caught a n.cl variant with reduced sensitivity to input, that would certainly explain the sudden level.

Hello!

Thanks for the info! I looked up, it's definitely a K6P is imprinted in the plastic part. Actually I get with +12 dB trim is still not the same level as rash with the K6 to vote at +18 dB, it will certainly get more. Maybe it's a K6 CL with K6P embossing ....
I am even important to know whether this difference in level between K6 and K6P is normal or not, I will accordingly nextüberlegen what I do with the part.
