Hi,
after much back and forth, I think that temporarily would be a cost effective, to deal with an entry-level software. Vegas Movie Studio would be something.
I would be interested only if the software supports AVCHD 50p. On the official page is here, that it is not going well. On some forums yet? What are we to believe?

Import and editing of AVCHD 1080p50 with HD Movie Studio Platinum 10 is possible without the need for the clips are converted to before. And the output as 1080p50 AVC is possible in Movie Studio, such as by MainConcept AVC in MP4 container.
Faith is good, control is better. Trial install and even taste.
