Hi,
since only 5 days I am not own a SonyHD-CX550 and with this for the most part very pleased. It is my first camcorder and I had a short time once a Canon HF 200, which I just found grottig of the image quality (especially with something darker light).
But unfortunately I now have only learned that next month (March) are already the successor models of Sonyauf the market.
Since you're absolute professionals when it comes to cameras, I had a few questions:
1) If an exchange is the CX550 to CX700 or 690 worth?
2) Does anyone know if the CX700 or CX690 in micro is better than the CX550?
3) What is with the low light performance of: Sony could improve this a bit with the newer models?
to improve 4) Does anyone know a way, the sound quality of the CX550 (Micro ext. perhaps? But which one?), but at the same time are still ways to install makes the SonyHIRL lamp?
5) Or would it be to give the CX550 s.sinnvollsten now back and hoping for a price cut that could Sonyresultieren by new models of?
6) Would accessories that you buy for the camcorder to the CX700 CX550 fit synonymous?
One more small note: I was once synonymous the JVC GZ-HM330 camcorder and even came out with better low light than the Canon HF 200th But Sony's camera is still unbeatable.

Rein of On paper makes the CX690/700 an advance over the CX550 expected in some score, but whether it holds the promise synonymous in practice, so far do None, as there are no tests. The 1080p50 capability of the New is in itself a good argument for CX690/700.

The price of the CX550 was relatively stable in recent months and more shows up again, since the successor was announced. My crystal ball is not infallible, but given this trend, I would not necessarily rely on a cheap sell-off of the CX550.

I have noticed something like this:
The new CX700 has a 1 / 2, 88, while the CX550 a 1 / 2, 8 R Exmor !" CMOS sensor has. Does not this mean that the sensors are almost identical?
The PJ50VE has a 1 / 4 R Exmor !" CMOS sensor. What the breaks mean the sensor name? Does this mean that the sensor of PJ50VE is finer than that of the CX700 (also synonymous better for low light)?
