I haber here two tapes lying around the with a Canon XH A1 HD were included (1440x1080, prog.). Unfortunately I do not here present to record an instrument by which, and the XH A1 I can not get into the first finger.
But an XL H1, but things would play out and strangle via firewire, right?
've Only Sony equipment, and come with Canon's HDV signal times not at all clear, I think.

Should they, however, unless it is also involved in Sony's HDV products. Possibly. If the tracking of the Canon, which has recorded the tapes, of which the Sony's from. Then it can sometimes be synonymous with problems of another Canon. I once had a similar problem with DV camcorders Sonyand of Canon. Since just trying.

Hm So my colleague has it on a V1 (I think) tried, that was not supposed to. I have only one HDR-HC5, and the bleats of due to "change tape format while playing, although HDV1080 (i!) is already set (because only a picture to see if one pilot console, but not during normal playback).
I know the other synonymous HDVlern of the JVC, but the material is synonymous only on Sony devices, huh?
Oh'm looking forward myself, has come the time of the tapeless workflows! SxS, P2 or SD reader in - and finished! This will be my very last tape project! : - \

The sticking point here may be that the recordings with the XH-A1 were made progressive: This Canon is cooking his own soup format, the devices of other manufactures can not be read (the exception is Sony-MAZ M35). The XL-H1, however, would have the same pseudo-25p format control and therefore be suitable for capturing.

For a long time I use for capturing the Sony Walkman's Gv-D 900 for material from the XL1 or XL2 and since moving to the XHA1 bzw.XLH1 SonyGV HD-700, ingenious devices, never had any problems with the Canon bands.

Currently use a Canon HV-40 of the complete recordings of the Canon XH-A1 capture. There are synonymous Aufnahmne the GR-PD1 (JVC) and of a simple JVC with it .. The tapes are already in some cases more than 10 years old. However, only been played once!
Because I feel the device setting in Edius 6 on the &/&§& I use the DV - HDV Capture Tool Version 1.01
