Hi,
I have an FX1 in HD with a 13 minute film rotated, then cut to PPro. Now I have no desire to create a menu via Encore - but rather to make the movie is just start my appeal. Is there no such option in PPro or s.Cs4? I heard that there are now Encore yes, and yes you can do as great things. A menu I will not at all.
And what is now the best format printers. Takes 12 minutes of the film. Have a Macbook Pro with 2.4 Ghz and 512 MB graphics card and 4GB of RAM and keien Bllueray burner.

Direct from PP CS4 is no longer (as with CS3), you must always go into Encore. Where do you draw your pure film, creating a new timeline and the film pull in there. Normally, now has the icon of the timeline is already playing a no arrow, which means that this element is defined as "First Play" and is played immediately after inserting the DVD. If your timeline is not as "First Play" is highlighted, you make a right click on it and choose this command. DVD, burn it!

Mach ne new timeline. Throw into the film. Mach NEN right click on the icon of the timeline in the Project window, there are where your raw materials, and activate it as "First Play" (or whatever the German is called synonymous always with you).
If you know the order of manipulation TAKING, as I've written to you in my first answer, then the timeline is already the "First Play" marks, because it is the only playable element in your project! "Crude" movies will not play directly into Encore, and must be packed in a timeline.
TIME LINE = slide show? Why translate it like that? I do not know, I have not programmed Encore / translated.

Your Project is apparently created as a 4:3, rather than 16:9. That you need to supply the first open an Encore Project.
For the rest: Give it a try, then you know it! And learn while still more than if we'll chew everything down here! Encore offers a preview function so finally, when you see what happens when you know what änderst.

Normally Encore automatically switches to switch between 4:3 and 16:9, when it detects such footage in a timeline. To make sure you ask your timeline in their properties to 16:9 to manual, then do it.
But if your PAL footage of course no dimensions (720x576 pixels) which is then filled in the Picture is synonymous not full size.
In a DVD authoring program can not be edited in principle, but it only serves only the assembly of EXISTING raw material (which you have to make outside DONE!)!

Duration: 13:43 minutes, 2.13 GB. I'm just puzzled that you can not change in the TIME-LINE or in the Timeline Properties ratio. It is gray and fixed to not activate it.

Export your movie as a normal DV-AVI and leave the right Trancodieren Encore. Then it works!

yes, things went fine. Now I rausbekommen, as I have a good Resolutionbekomme. I want to connect via HDMI yes s.einen DVD_PLAYER s.einen HD Projector (CANON SX80). As it looks now is not really sufficient.
I get it synonymous not know why the HD-DVD is dead, now Blue-Ray will come, but no MAC has such a drive to burn the movies, but the turn Programs abbieten as the format. I mean Blue-ray.

If the projector is scaled up well no problem. Is it synonymous with sitting on the extent to which people from the projector away. Since we are but the most recent years almost exclusively PAL had, it should come to no problem. More important is the Compression. Too strong, the film should not be compressed, because it usually comes to Artefarkten.
Apropos: If you have no menu, brings the action to return "to the last menu, nothing. You have the @ symbol simply pull back on your timeline, in the folder. You link less the end of the video with the beginning. (Loop!)

Click in the Timeline, you must click on the icon in the folder, with the right mouse button of course. There, then as a "First Playback" or so set. The folder is a timeline or menu "PLAY" icon will (as an arrow). This will be played first.

Go create in Encore, new project, then go into the Reiteer "Timeline" go clean the video, then right click and then ;-)
