Infoseite // workflow keying in after effects and cinema 4d composition

Frage von tobi3d:

hello all,

have the following problem. I have a presentation on "keep keying in the post" and here is the gekeyte material with a combined cinema 4d scene.
to have seen a lot of tutorials already synonymous, and therefore am a little confused.
there are tuts where First gekeyt in after effects and the compositing is done directly in cinema 4d is (; plane and the video directly as a material on it),
Other combinations combine 3d scene and video material in the 3d space of after effects.
can you tell me what the disadvantages of the prior and current methods are?

PS I'm new here and have not really what the general idea, it should be subject appeared somewhere else somewhere I apologize, of course.

danke schon mal answer for your hopefully many!

Antwort von Jake the rake:

If you can tracken your footage then you import the camera data into c4d and do your compositing Ae.
The other way around only makes sense if your footage will be projected in your 3D scene.
What is your exact goal?
Ae and Cinema certainly work well. The best approach is, I think, track your footage properly (match moving) and your adjusted compositing scene in c4d to Ae. (Tutorials about this, there's enough on the Web)

Thanks for the answer .... So my camera, it is clear there is therefore nothing to tracken. I thought if I stop with the jump in cinema do I need to worry no more un shade.

Shadow intensity can be synonymous in AU getuenned be fine for her to import only the shadows as a single layer in AE Render ... makes more sense than C4D can work for it - the same applies to synonymous rates, colors, light and distance, etc.

Antwort von Jake the rake:

The advantage of compositing in Ae is that you only need your Cinema Scene Render time (s.besten utilize the full bandwidth of the interface of course AE/C4D, ie try all possible pass, lights, reflections, etc. render separately) and you effectively Settings can.
The shadows will be the least of your problem, I think (unless you have really complicated geometry and care about is 100% correct shadows ...)

Edit: Bidekid was faster;)

Thank you both, so you're really fast! not know how I find out in s.schatten hinbekomm but it will be know ...

Antwort von B.DeKid:

Ne you make the shadows even in C4D but importierst the AE and then there can be faster and better to work and make feintunning.

All you can synonymous 3D objects without using Textures in C4D yes because you want to create only the shadows in the other layers and then doing the rendering objects with textures and so clear.

In AE you then layer on top of the enchantment.
