DVL-Digest 1163 - Postings: Index 3 CCD beam splitter What's a .moov? 3 CCD beam splitter - "Perry Mitchell" From: Balazs Rozsa In a 3 CCD camera there is a prism that splits the light beam into three parts. I don't how the beam is split. One version I can think of is that the prism splits the beam into three similar beams and after that there are three color filters before each of the three CCDs that let only the red, green or blue colors of the light pass onto the CCD. Or the prism may split the light in a way that it filters out the red colors of the incoming light and put it onto one of the CCDs, then let the green part of the light onto another CCD and the same for the blue color. The first method is more efficient then the second. Could somebody tell me how the beam splitter works in a camera? Thanks, What's a .moov? - "Perry Mitchell" From: Francois Camoin OK, but I have a whole bunch of .moov files that QuickTime won't open and FCP won't recognize. They're sound files. Any idea how I can open or convert them? Surely if they're some form of Quicktime files (and they say they are) I ought to be able to get to them. Any ideas?
