GV-DV700 vs. DSR300
GY-DV700 vs. DSR300 - (2)
Wacom drivers for OS X

GV-DV700 vs. DSR300 - "Perry Mitchell"

From: Chris Benham
I'm looking at one of these two camera, but I'm not certain which would be
the best choice. . .
The image quality on both seems quite nice. The GY-DV700 has the nice
native 16:9 chipset, but the DSR300 takes full size DVCAM tape.
Does anyone out there have any opinions on these cameras? (stupid
question, I know)
I can get them used for almost the same price. I plan to use them for
industrial/commercial video, with a smattering of training videos.

Wacom drivers for OS X - Adam Wilt

> Can you say what spec of mac you are running FCP on OSX on?
A G4/450 "Sawtooth", with the Wacom tablet. I've also run it on my G3/466
"Wallstreet 2" PowerBook, but alas, only with video captured in OS 9,
because X doesn't support PCCard FireWire.
> I am on a B&W G3 350, and can't really get it running reliably.
My guess is that a 350 is too close to the edge for FCP 3 on OS X. But
that's just a guess.
Cheers,
AJW
