Apple recommend that you stay with QT 5 on 10.1.x, and use QT 6 only in 10.2, when it comes to FCP. I haven't tried it myself. Reports on the Mac websites about QT 6 / 10.1.5 / FCP 3 combos include the usual mix of "works fine" and "it broke my system" reports. Your mileage may vary. Those that have not read it and are curious, should, it would explain allot. http://industryclick.com/magazine.asp?magazineid=127&siteid=15 Thanks for all the hard work Steve, Jan > DVX100 - "Perry Mitchell" From: Steve Mullen "If you want to use 24P then you need to do an inverse telecine type operation to lose the extra fields and the interlace, and that is what Cinema Tools does for you. I don't see any need to remap the audio on your side of the pond; over here in 25Hz land is a different story! I could of course have the wrong end of the stick! Perry Mitchell" The DVX100 allows you to select a different pull-down when you are shooting for film -- 2:3:3:2. Now when this is fed via FireWire to FCP, the single judder frame will be removed and the audio samples remapped because there is now one less frame in the data stream. Email is not the place to describe it all. There are charts in the story that make it all far more clear.
