Mini DV dub compatibility
Using small Halogen Track-lights --- with dimmers

Mini DV dub compatibility - "Perry Mitchell"

From: Derek Loranger
DVCAM is a Sony Standard, like DVCPRO is a Panasonic standard, if I
understand correctly.
A more correct analogy, would be putting an SVHS tape into a VHS-only
VCR and expecting it to play.
No need to avoid Canon as far as cameras go. They don't pretend to make
decks. I recommend getting a multi-standard deck if you are using
different standards.
I would say that you got lucky with your Panny Camcorder. It doesn't
happen often.

Which lamps do you mean, Jon? We've got those 'energy saving'lamps, 12
watt equals 60 watt. Don't know the technology. But doubt these are
fluorescents and also I think lower in Kelvin. Do you have a reference
to a site or so?
