This does not upconvert 4:1:1 to 4:2:2, it only allows for compressed transfer of what you have. If on the other hand you had a DVCAM machine with an SDI output, that would upconvert the signal to 4:2:2 and then input that signal to the SD930 over its built in SDI you could make a 4:2:2 recording of your project.
