Robert, this in general happens even here and it is does not happen because
of the manufacturer's involvement at all, it is strictly up to the vendor to
do this. In general it is the unauthorized vendor that does this so that
he/she can bring their offering/advertised price in below the authorized
vendor who, in general respects the wishes of the manufacturer who wants the
product sold just as we package it here, all accessories as shown on the
brochure included.

Ha, there are dealers here in the US that offer the DVX for under ,000
that have Japanese only buttons and menus and they have copied the English
manual off of our website and made a copy from that and only once the
customer has it and realizes the situation it is too late. They now own a
product that has a Japanese warranty from the manufacturer, a US warranty
from that dealer and the dealer sends it back to Japan for warranty work.
It is a very crazy business. One should make a practice out of working
within the distribution that a manufacturer has set up for their products.
There generally is a reason behind it.
Best regards,
Jan
