Betamax - "Perry"

That certainly was true for the longest time in the Philippines (an
NTSC country) though I think in the last few years the use of
Betamax there has waned.
In the NTSC countries of Latin America (eg. Colombia and
Ecuador) Betamax was also king for a long time. You still see
buses on the hi-ways emblazoned with "Betamax" signs to tell
people they have movies on the bus.
My Betamax is now gathering dust, but I kept it running for a long
time in case I needed to send a tape to the Philippines or Colombia
where several of my clients had offices.

dv-500 viewfinder - "Perry"


You can get the better viewfinder from the JVC DY-90, apparently it is a
direct replacement. I've no idea of the comparative costs though.
