HELP. DV Codec between Mac/PC. - Adam Wilt

Anyone has tried successfully bring a DV movie file from PC to Mac for
> output without any flickering?
I frequently trade files between an FCP system and both DPS Spark and EditDV
on the PC without problems. Haven't tried DigiSuite yet, but probably will in
the next week or so.

Hmm, if there's 486-line interlaced material in the comp, and you squeeze it
down (instead of cropping to 720x480), depending on settings you might wind up
with displaced lines from one field appearing in the other, so that...

...as the video hasn't been properly compensated for interlace "tearing" on
fast-moving imagery.
So, as several folks have suggested, try cropping instead of squeezing. Or,
deinterlace the image and/or try out other AfterEffects rendering settings to
avoid interfield flicker on vertically squashed material.

PC over 2Gig? - Adam Wilt

Is there "any" program for editing that can make a file over 2 Gig like
> Final Cut Pro for the Mac side?
I know the Matrox systems (RT2000, DigiSuite in all its versions and
varieties) can. How 'bout 12 Terabytes? Big enough? ;->
Cheers,
Adam Wilt
