DVL-Digest 926 - Postings: Index DVDs made with iDVD won't play on all players DVDs made with iDVD won't play on all players - Adam Wilt I made my first DVD on a new Mac with iDVD and it won't play on my Apex > player. It played fine on a Sony... DVD-R isn't quite the same reflectivity and contrast as pre-made DVD, so some players, especially older ones (and the Apex, darn it) won't recognize the disk. It's very similar to the problem with playing CD-R and CD-RW in older CD-ROM players. Changing media manufacturer *may* help. But it may not. > To use iDVD you MUST use DVD-R General discs... And the Pioneer SuperDrive will only burn DVD-R(G) disks whatever software is used. To burn DVD-R(A) (authoring) disks, you need a MUCH more expensive burner (hint: costs more than the current top-end G4!).
