Canon announces new consumer flash camcorder (Canon VIXIA HF20, HF200, HF S10, HF S100)

The new series called VIXIA comprises six models, three of which record HD video. The top model VIXIA HF S10 comes with a 58mm filter diameter lens with 10x optical zoom, an 8.0 MP Full HD CMOS sensor, a new DIGIC DV III image processor, mikro and headphone jacks, and more manual controls than previous models. The other two HD models LEGRIA HF20 and LEGRIA HF200 are said to be 17% smaller than their predecessors, the CMOS sensors have been shrunken as well to 1/4" / 3.3 MP.
With the three standard definition models FS22, FS21 and FS200 up to 3,5 hours of video can be recorded on a single charge. All cameras will be available in March (no price information as yet).
