Except for improvements in the codec (up to 40% better than DivX 5) brings DivX 6 for Windows 2000/XP, a new media format (. Divx) that not only video and multiple alternate audio tracks, but also XSUB subtitles (subtitles in several languages), support slideshow, directly anspringbare chapter points, interactive menus and video XTAG metadata (similar to the ID3 tags in MP3 files). Can be created such advanced MPEG-4 videos with the DivX Converter is also available - but so far only played with the new DivX Player.
