DivX Author is a newly developed authoring software for DivX 6, introduced with DivX Media Format (DMF / .divx), which users the first time the extended features of DivX 6 opens. Similar to the functions of DVD DivX 6 offers menus, subtitles, the choice between multiple language tracks, slideshows, and the division of films into direct anspringbare chapter. As a source formats supported authoring wizard to accept DivX Author MPEG-1/-2, AVI, Windows Media, QuickTime and DivX movies. DivX Author Pegasys was jointly organized by the producers of the popular MPEG encoder TMPGEnc and DivX Networks develops.
