GPU Optical Flow algorithm from the Saarland

bildSo-called Optical Flow algorithms play in the video production is becoming more powerful role. So they are not only required for motion estimation in compression, but can be profitably used also generated at slow motion, super resolution, object extraction and many other applications. Previously, these algorithms were often extremely time consuming, so appropriate Pugin usually require a very long analysis phase, before you can use them. The linked PDF of the Mathematical Image Analysis Group at the University of Saarland, however, shows a way, how to implement the process on fast GPUs without sacrificing quality. For real-time in HD, it is sufficient but not (yet), but individual SD images (640 x 480) have already analyzed much less than a second. Nice if this sometimes comes a little momentum in the matter.
