Stu Maschwitz has a graphic with a Verlgeich of sensor between Super 35mm film, a Canon EOS C300, Canon and RED Scarlet 7D/60D-X (here with the different groen tatschlich used / Sensorflche cropped depending on resolution). Although the Scarlet-X are actually an Enlarged Sensorflche than the C300, but may be useful to use (at 5K with 12fps), only the smaller, cropped 4K Flche (with a maximum of 25fps). Study also highlights the loss of resolution (as well as wide angle and Tiefenunschrfe), which must be taken into account, if you want to film with the Scarlet-X hheren frame rates. The C300 will force at higher framerates (30-60) but also the loss of resolution (720p instead of 1080p), but achieves this by downsampling instead of cropping - and so the lens does not change behavior.
