Hello dear forum members!
I was asked of my parents, to assist them in obtaining a new camcorder. Currently, only an old Canon device is available, from a time when only optical viewfinder and no LCD displays were common.
Now I have the last digicam-purchase, however, recommended a Panasonic TZ-7 aware, as it makes AFAIK synonymous passable video. This video has been functional but hardly enough and will soon be tested only of the users.
What brings me to my questions:
1) How is the TC-7 as a camcorder replacement?
-> What are the strengths?
-> What are the weaknesses or limitations?
My next question:
2) What added value do I have of a camcorder or how much money I have to spend, so I get a value?
3) Which camcorder you can recommend me, should the value to justify the purchase of a camcorder? (Maximum of 500 ¬, better would be ~ 400 ¬)
The profile is in the classic family activities: holiday, birthday parties and other recreational activities.
Important is the simple handling, a HD-Ready Television exists, just like a PC with dual-core for any editing.

Yet one still has some advantages Camcorders. A SD66 for about 400 ¬ at about the same file size offers better resolution, better quality low-light.
