Infoseite // Totally confused .. Compressor expands Mist

Frage von kalle70:

Had exported 20 min movie from Final Cut Pro with Compressor to Mpeg2.

Attitude was best performance for 90min DVD.

After reviewing the file, I have to say that some agencies have severe artifacts.
Other positions are completely fine.

In the original material, the artifacts are not naturally there.
Also in the export control "Quicktime File (. Mov) does not.

I have used many times before this workflow, but so what has not occurred yet.

Who has an idea?

Duplicate Default: Right icon under the "Settings" tab.
Rename: "Mpeg2-8, 5 Mbit / s CBR"
Editing adding: The values mentioned in the title in the Encoder window by default.
Save.

Probably has nothing to do with the artifacts, but for all under 66 minutes for a standard blank simply the best default.
If you have already spent the film as a separate Quicktime movie, pass this s.Compressor, not the timeline.

Have FCS3, secure a "DVD" droplet (you call it) under programs with a fixed destination (folder "DVD media" you so) call, then you pull the icon into the Dock. In the future you have to do with the Codierkram nothing more. Drag and drop, that's it. It would have been even nicer if we could start droplets from the browser, which will hopefully not take up FCS4 ...

Reports.

Two-pass procedure used?

One-Pass respond to complex material often not fast enough and produces artifacts at low bit rates (although even with one-pass and 90 minutes about 6 Mbit / s would be available, which is not necessarily much).

Antwort von Axel:

Oh yes, CBR is in my example, of course, 1-pass, because artifacts have other reasons for this data rate (banding, clipping). Better not.

Thanks for the tip!

If you have already spent the film as a separate Quicktime movie, pass this s.Compressor, not the timeline.

If I wanted to try even intuitively synonymous, but it was already late ..
Why would that help?

Unfortunately, no FCS3 :-(

Reports.

@ TommyB: 2Pass I tried 90 minutes and 1PASS 150 min

No difference.

Comparison When I am still struck by the artifacts that occur every time when a lot of movement can be seen .!!??

Synonymous with me intuitively. You'll have to find the cause, but I guess with the stand-alone film, the export will work for now.

No idea why we are talking, but after the movie as a. Mov had exported and exported with compressor to mpeg2 and then fired by DVDSP it all came together. ?????

If anyone can explain what I would be pleased.
