I have many GB s.unkomprimierten video on the hard drive because I have so far not yet have achieved this satisfactory in an avi format.
I want to watch the videos later, mainly on the PC look, do so without this movement s.besten stripes. The quality must not soo good, but should preferably not Artefekte, then the streak image. An hour of video should be a maximum of 1 GB in size.
Since there are countless videos that meet those requirements, but it should be possible.
I have so far mainly with XviD and of the Windows codecs supplied tried and am no good results.
Maybe yes one knows a good tutorial or can give me a few tips to give.

So, now I have something rumgespielt. I have Divx and Xvid with probiert. Both deliver very good results. But only if I am with some 1500Kbit / S work. What about 40MB per minute. The me too much. (..) But I must do something wrong!

Standard PAL Resolutionbraucht without data reduction 270 Mbps. As is already the DVD with 5 Mbps on average, a very violent Datenquetsche. I would even with DivX / XviD not go below 2 Mbps.
You can try of course, with even more efficient codecs (WMV, H.264) to about 1 Mbps to come. Completely without artifacts is at such low data rates but is not.
In other words, if you really want to save, you have your videos on lower resolutions runterechnen - is the meaning of the picture just as stupid as the data rate with runterzuprügeln violence. Work with 2 Mbps - that looks decent and still saves space manière ...

So I did a video in avi format (I did but I think, now understand that only an avi katalog for many formats is? Somehow so!?) :
Properties (according to "right-click Properties - File Info")
Picture: Width - 576 pixels Height - 432 pixels
Audio: Duration - 00:41:21 Bitrate - 133 kbit / s Audio Format - MPEG Layer-3
Video: Frame rate - 25 frames per second Data rate - 168 kbit / s Size of the video file - 24 bit Video Compression - XVID
So the whole video and is now, with just 704 MB to 4 MB in size ... So just because I use this with other DVD burn ne wants and the whole is now just as Nero 4 MB is too large.
As the compressed I now? I know I am not really into video editing and hope you can help me. Hab VirtualDub and Total Video Converter can be synonymous with Adobe Premiere Pro 7 if the wait ... what does As I said I only want to compress a little bit so I think it just on his DVD player can play!
