In March last year Matthias Schweighöfer's thriller series "You are wanted" started on Amazon Prime in which he not only plays the leading role, but which he also produces himself.
The first season was so well received by the audience that the second season, in which DJI's Inspire 2 Drone and Zenmuse X7 camera were also used, has been released a few days ago. In this thriller Schweighöfer plays a young, successful manager, whose life is gradually brought to a complete standstill by a hacker. However, this time he refrained from directing and was involved in the script.
DJI has released an interesting "Behind the Scenes" video showing how camera shots for "You are Wanted" were taken with a drone, and director Bernard Jasper tells why he chose a drone to get very special and cool shots. Dron operator Lukas Schuler enthuses about the quality of the recordings with DJI's compact Zenmuse X7 drone camera, which is equipped with a 35mm sensor and can record in 6K RAW.
An important reason for the use of drones was also the simple setup of camera movements by drone in contrast to a rope camera or camera crane, which first require a longer setup. The drone not only replaces wide-angle helicopter shots, but in some scenes even the Steadicam.
