In order to be able to operate the small Osmo Pocket gimbal camera with an external microphone, an adapter from USB-C to 3.5mm mini jack is now available -- it has long been listed as an accessory, but was not yet available; the retail price -- 39 Euro -- was not yet known.
As recommended microphones DJI lists the Rode VideoMic Pro, Rode VideoMicro, Sennheiser MKE400, Azden sgm-990, Sony ecm-ds70p, audio-technica atr-6550 as well as DJI fm-15 FlexiMic, but the adapter should also be compatible with other common 3.5mm microphones. This is of course very good for the recorded sound quality, but a Rode VideoMic or a Sennheiser MKE400 microphone cannot be attached to the Osmo Pocket due to its compact design.
According to DJI, the adapter can only be used with the Osmo Pocket, not with other cameras, similar to other proprietary solutions (Apple, GoPro).
