Three weeks after the 17.1 update, Blackmagic now releases version 17.1.1 of its grading, editing, compositing and audio mastering program DaVinci Resolve 17 (Studio). The update brings users of Apple&s M1 processors support for hardware-accelerated decoding of H.264 formats in 10-bit (the previous version had already brought support for hardware decoding of H.265 4:2:2).
Among other new features, the update delivers support for Blackmagic RAW recordings from Panasonic Lumix S1H cameras on the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR. The ResolveFX Blanking Fill plug-in and scripting API have also been optimized. In addition, metadata is now formatted more accurately when rendering DNxHR clips, and reliability is improved when restoring older database backups and audio performance in various playback scenarios.
Fusion Studio 17.1.1
And Fusion Studio has also been updated to version 17.1.1, getting improvements to ambient light levels in 3D camera setups, assigning spin and rotation effects to new particles, and casting shadows from directional light sources in 2D and 3D objects. This version requires a license dongle or activation key for Fusion Studio.
