The battery specialist SWIT has now launched the PowerCell batteries for mirrorless cameras, which were presented at IBC 2024. The series includes alternatives to Sony&s NP-FZ100, Canon&s LP-E6P (compatible with E6/E6N/E6NH), Nikon&s EN-EL15c, and Fujifilm&s NP-W235 batteries. SWIT&s models are not only significantly cheaper than the original batteries (sometimes costing only half as much), but also offer practical features that the originals lack, such as an integrated capacity indicator and the ability to be charged directly via USB-C, all with the same nominal capacity of 2200 mAh / 16 Wh. SWIT promises full compatibility with the respective cameras and original chargers.
;) SWIT PowerCell All PowerCell models use high-quality Panasonic NCR1850 cells (7.2 V, 2200 mAh/16 Wh), which ensure a constant power output even under high load and whose discharge curve matches that of the original batteries, which is important for a reliable remaining runtime display in the camera. Charging via USB-CA major improvement over the original batteries, as well as other OEM batteries, is the direct USB-C charging input (5 V), which allows the batteries to be charged via power supplies, power banks, or V-mount batteries with a USB-C port, even without a dedicated charger.
