Now that all units ordered via Indiegogo crowdfunding have been delivered (www.indiegogo.com/de/projects/hoverair/hoverair-aqua-first-waterproof-self-flying-camera/updates/14), HoverAir&s buoyant drone, the Aqua, is also hitting the official retail market—just in time for summer vacations, where it can be used to film yourself from the air during water sports activities such as surfing, sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddling. ![]() HoverAir Aqua What makes the HoverAir Aqua particularly well-suited for such shots is its ability to land or take off from the sea, thanks to its IP67 water resistance and a special "lifebuoy" integrated into the housing. It can autonomously follow the user and capture them from dynamic perspectives—without the need to manually define camera settings or flight paths. ![]() HoverAir Aqua What can the HoverAir Aqua do?The HoverAir Aqua is designed for recording above the water&s surface and, thanks to its AI or beacon tracking, can automatically follow and film selected subjects using various modes. Its technical specifications are similar to those of the HoverAir X1 Pro Max, as it also features a 1/1.28" sensor and can record 4K video at up to 100 fps, including 10-bit, HLG, and H-LOG color profiles—though it does not support 8K. ![]() HoverAir Aqua The Aqua masters over 15 automatic flight recording modes (such as Zoom Out, Orbit, Spiral, and Bird&s Eye) for particularly impressive footage. In snorkel mode, when floating on the water&s surface, it can even point its camera downward to capture underwater shots. A 1.3" AMOLED display located on the front top shows the status and recorded videos, allowing for easy selection of flight and recording parameters—all while being waterproof. Alternatively, it can be controlled remotely via the Lighthouse Controller, which is worn on the arm and also serves as a beacon for automatic tracking (in conjunction with visual recognition). One battery charge lasts for 23 minutes of flight. ![]() HoverAir Aqua Thanks to its low weight of 249 g, the HoverAir Aqua belongs to the C0 drone class and is therefore subject to fewer regulations than larger drones. This makes it easier to use—you do not need an official drone license to fly it. However, the Aqua must still be insured and registered. The Aqua reaches a top speed of up to 55 km/h and has a Level 7 wind resistance, meaning it can withstand headwinds of 18.3 m/s and is designed to remain stable in the air and continue recording despite such conditions, thanks to the SmoothCapture stabilization system. In addition to its water resistance, the Aqua features a number of special characteristics that make it unique for use on the water. For example: an integrated millimeter-wave radar that detects wave height and surface conditions to ensure safe landings, as well as a water-repellent lens. ![]() HoverAir Aqua Bundles Prices and BundlesThe HOVERAir AQUA Standard Combo (drone with Lighthouse remote control) is available now for 1,299 euros, the Basic Combo (with two additional batteries and a charging station) starts at 1,399 euros, and the Fly More Combo is available for 1,499 euros (with an additional beacon and joystick). With the Aqua, HoverAir is introducing a model for which there is currently no corresponding competitor from market leader DJI—unlike the HoverAir X1 models, which are being challenged by DJI&s Neo selfie drone. deutsche Version dieser Seite: HoverAir Aqua - Schwimmfähige Drohne für den Strandurlaub ist da |
