Antigravity is offering a 15% discount on its 360° A1 drone until February 9th—a great opportunity to purchase the completely novel omnidirectional drone. Additionally, Antigravity has released a flight simulator that allows pilots to test fly safely, virtually testing the A1&s flight characteristics before real-world deployment. ![]() Antigravity A1 What is special about the Antigravity A1?The A1 (launched last December) uses Insta360&s technology to stitch together real-time 360° 8K images from one upward-facing and one downward-facing fisheye camera. This allows the pilot, via goggles, to look in all directions during flight, completely independent of the flight direction. The four distracting rotors in the field of view are automatically removed from the image, giving the pilot a clear view and the feeling of floating freely in the air. According to tests, this is a completely new and impressive experience that feels like flying yourself. Another advantage of the 360° concept is the ability to export any view from the recorded 360° video after the flight—the camera perspective is thus completely independent of the flight direction. Drone filmmakers can thus forgo an additional camera operator, as the image section can be freely chosen by the pilot in post-production. ![]() Antigravity A1 Flight Simulator via Vision GogglesThe A1 is controlled using a joystick that is supposed to intuitively translate hand movements into flight movements (Point-to-Fly control). For example, if it is moved upwards, the drone ascends; sideways movements lead to sideways flight. The A1 is rotated using a scroll wheel located on the handle. What is completely new about the control is the fact that the flight image exists separately and independently of the flight direction—experienced drone pilots must therefore relearn. For example, while looking left, the drone can be steered right via the joystick. ![]() Antigravity A1 Flight Simulator This special control can now be tried out virtually, because thanks to the new flight simulator, which runs directly in the A1&s Vision Goggles, beginners can now use it as a flight trainer so as not to endanger the expensive A1 drone in real use. According to Antigravity, the simulator is supposed to faithfully reproduce the flight behavior, including the joystick control of the A1, in virtual space, thus enabling new pilots to learn control of the A1 before actual deployment. deutsche Version dieser Seite: 360° Drohne Antigravity A1 kurzzeitig 15% ermässigt |
