Sigma has released firmware updates for a series of L-mount prime lenses—primarily wide-angle Art and Contemporary lenses, as well as a Sports telephoto lens—that provide improvements when used with supported Panasonic Lumix full-frame cameras.

Sigma Art lenses
When used in combination with the S1RII, S1II, S1IIES, S5II, S5IIX, and S9, it is now possible to assign specific functions to the focus ring in AF mode. These include the front dial, rear dial, aperture, shutter speed, crop zoom, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity, white balance, color temperature, AF mode, and photo style.
Additionally, the aperture value can now be displayed as a T-stop during video recording.
Exclusively for the S5II, S5IIX, and S9, there is also a new option to change the rotation direction of the focus ring in manual focus mode.
