Atomos today announced the Shogun AV-19, a rack-mountable 19-inch 4K HDR-capable monitor-recorder-switcher designed for professional live production, broadcast, and video village environments. It offers multi-camera switching, ISO recording, and monitoring in a rugged, rack-mountable 7RU form factor.

Designed for integration into flight cases or use in racks at live events, the Shogun AV-19 allows simultaneous recording of up to four isolated SDI camera feeds plus a fifth program output. A large, color-accurate 4K HDR display with DCI-P3 color space is intended to provide sharp real-time preview.
The Shogun AV-19 records in up to 10-bit 4:2:2 quality and resolutions up to 8Kp60 in Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, or Avid DNx from SDI or HDMI sources, thus facilitating post-production after the event. Media can be recorded internally to CFexpress cards or externally via high-speed USB-C storage.
Designed for mission-critical applications, the Shogun AV-19 also serves as a secure backup recorder for redundancy or as an instant review station for directors and clients. Integrated monitoring tools include EL Zone False Color, Focus Peaking, Waveform, Log-to-LUT display, Frame Guides, Safe Areas, Anamorphic De-Squeeze, HDR-to-Rec.709 conversion, and Quad-View monitoring.
Connectivity is further expanded by NDI HX3 (send and receive), enabling the transmission of broadcast-quality video, audio, and metadata over a single standard Ethernet cable for remote and mobile production workflows. Two full-featured XLR inputs with 48V phantom power allow for professional, balanced audio recording, including dedicated level meters, gain control, and frame-accurate audio delay.
