Hardly any film is as much spectacle as The Rocky Horror Picture Show – it came to cinemas 50 years ago and was initially a flop. But the producers recognized a certain cult potential, re-edited the B-movie, and had it shown especially in late-night screenings. The plan worked, the fan community grew and grew. The rest is history, as they say.
For the anniversary, the unofficial film documentary "Sane Inside Insanity" by Andreas Zerr was released in the autumn, initially at festivals and currently as
Film-on-Demand. Using archive material and many interviews, it tells the story of how the film musical was created in 1970s London and what the cult status and audience participation madness are all about.
In a webinar, Andreas Zerr, director and editor of the multi-award-winning documentary, will now provide insights into his work with the film. The 45 minutes will feature live interviews, production insights, and film clips.
Participation is free, but prior registration is required.
