Mark Roberts Motion Control, recently divested by Nikon and subsequently forced into liquidation (www.slashcam.de/news/single/Mark-Roberts-Motion-Control-wird-abgewickelt---Mil-20030.html), has indirectly found a new home. Its assets are being acquired by MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, a company that has also been in existence for 50 years and specializes in the transmission, processing, and management of video, audio, and data signals. The acquisition brings MRMC&s core technologies, intellectual property, manufacturing capabilities, and key engineering expertise into the MultiDyne organization.
 Through the strategic acquisition of MRMC—a developer of robotic camera systems, motion control solutions, and automated camera tracking technologies for broadcast, digital cinema, sports production, and live events—MultiDyne intends to expand into image acquisition, thereby participating in a significantly larger portion of the production workflow. The goal is to create a "powerful end-to-end ecosystem for content creators, broadcasters, and live production professionals worldwide" by combining complementary technologies. As part of the transaction, a new company, MultiDyne Robotics and Motion Control, is being formed to continue the MRMC brand.
