Asus has unveiled a number of new Creator notebooks - two new models for its ProArt Studiobook mobile workstations, as well as the new Vivobook range of four models - the former are very powerful and rather high-priced, targeting professionals in video editing and other fields, while the latter are more affordable and designed for entry-level users in creative professions.
The new introductions are configurable with either OLED or HDR displays in 16:10 format with resolutions of up to 4K, and include Nvidia RTX Studio validated and (according to Asus, the world&s first) VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified notebooks. All models are factory calibrated to Pantone standards, and the ProArt Studiobook models also feature the new Asus Dial dial and CalMAN certification.

New: Asus Dial rotary control

An innovation with which Asus wants to differentiate its creative portfolio from other manufacturers (like the additional touchscreen of the ZenBook Duo notebook series9, is the Asus Dial of the new ProArt Sudiobook models - a rotary dial, which is integrated into the notebook on the left below the keyboard next to the touchpad. The
Asus Dial is configured via a dedicated app and allows you to adjust parameters in compatible Adobe applications such as After Effects, Photoshop Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Asus ProArt Studiobook (Pro) 16 OLED
The two new models in the ProArt Studiobook line are the Asus ProArt Studiobook Pro 16 OLED and the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED . The Pro model (models W5600/W7600) is particularly powerful and can be configured in the most powerful configuration, for example, with an AMD Ryzen 5000 Series (W5600) or a third-generation Intel Xeon workstation processor (W7600) as well as an NVIDIA RTX A2000 (W5600) or A5000 (W7600) graphics processor with 16 GB of memory and 6,144 CUDA cores.
The ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H5600/H7600) can be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor (H5600) or Intel Core i9 (H7600) processor as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (H5600) or 3060 (H7600) GPU including NVIDIA Studio drivers.
Asus ProArt Studiobook Pro
Both models feature OLED HDR displays with 4K resolution in 16:10 format, 60 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 550 nits. Both displays are factory calibrated, certified by PANTONE and CalMAN, and support 100% professional DCI-P3 color space. They also feature VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification (meaning they can display true black thanks to OLED technology) with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. However, Asus also offers cheaper variants with IPS panels and lower resolution (1600p).
Likewise, both new models have a large trackpad with stylus support, which allows them to be used like a small drawing tablet. Other features include up to two M.2 SSDs and up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 RAM as well as 2 x USB-C, 2 x USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet and an SD card reader. However, only the Intel versions of both models feature PCIe 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4.
The two new Asus ProArt Studiobook (Pro) 16 OLED models will start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2021. Depending on the configuration, the price of the ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED starts at around 2,000 euros, while the Pro models start at around 2,500 euros.
Vivobook Pro 14X /16X OLED,
The new Vivobook Pro lineup consists of four models, the Vivobook Pro 14X/16X OLED and the Vivobook Pro 14/Pro 15 OLED. The Vivobook Pro 14X/16X models feature the new ASUS DialPad - in virtual version of the Asus Dial rotary controller of the new ProArt Studiobooks, which is integrated into the touchpad.
The Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (N7600/M7600) features a 16-inch 4K OLED HDR display in 16:10 aspect ratio, while the Vivobook Pro 14X (N7400/M7400) has a 14-inch OLED HDR display with WQXGA resolution (2880 x 1800 pixels) - both are 400 nits bright and offer 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. Both have VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, are PANTONE-validated, and are certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light emissions as easy on the eyes.
Both models can be equipped with an Intel Core H Series processor of the 11th generation (N7400/N7600) including Thunderbolt 4 or an AMD Ryzen 5000 H Series Mobile processor (M7400/M7600) including USB-C port as well as a maximum of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU and up to 32 GB of working memory.
The Vivobook Pro 14X/16X OLED notebooks will be available in Germany from Q4 2021 starting at around 1,300 Euros.

Vivobook Pro 14/15 OLED
. The two slim notebooks Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (K3400/M3401) and Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (K3500/M3500) are lighter than the other models, weighing around 1.4 kg and 1.65 kg, respectively. The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is equipped with a NanoEdge display with WQXGA resolution (2880 x 1800 pixels), the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED with an FHD display.
They can be configured with an 11th generation Intel Core H Series processor (K3400/K3500) or an AMD Ryzen 5000 H Series Mobile processor (M3401/M3500), as well as a GPU up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics and up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 1 TB PCIe SSD storage.
The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED will be available in Germany from Q4 2021 starting at around 800 euros, while the Vivobook Pro 15 OLED will start at around 950 euros.
