Zoom has announced the LiveTrak L12next, a new compact 12-channel digital mixer in its LiveTrak series, which also functions as a 14-track recorder and a 14-in/4-out USB audio interface. On board are an OLED display, improved, very low-noise preamps, three multi-function encoder knobs per channel, and a talkback microphone. ![]() Zoom LiveTrak L12next OperationInstead of nested menus, the Zoom L12next relies on three multi-function rotary knobs per channel, which are used to adjust settings such as gain, compressor, low-cut, 3-band EQ, pan, and sends. A new 128×64 OLED display improves readability, while an LED meter per channel shows both level and encoder settings. Stored scenes (up to ten) can be controlled with a fader position button that indicates the target positions when recalling a scene. ![]() Zoom LiveTrak L12next OLED Display Preamps and DynamicsNew are the revised preamps with up to +70 dB of gain and –128 dBu EIN. Together with a switchable pad (–26 dB) on channels 3–8, Hi-Z on 1–2, and 48 V phantom power (1–4, 5–8), the Zoom LiveTrak L12next offers the typical sources found on set—from lavalier mics to instruments to the line-out of a mixing console. Channel compressors (1–8) and a master compressor allow for basic dynamics processing without external processors. Redundant RecordingThe L12next records up to 14 individual tracks in 24-bit/96 kHz, plus a stereo mix in 32-bit float/96 kHz, onto an SD card (SDHC/SDXC up to 1 TB). Simultaneously, the device can operate as a USB interface (14 in/4 out, 24/96) on Mac/Windows and mobile (Class-Compliant)—including simultaneous recording to the computer and SD card. This dual recording is interesting for ENG teams and live streaming, as a safety recording is made on the card independently of the connected DAW, while the computer handles monitoring/streaming. Overdub and Auto-Punch In/Out also address post-dubbing and quick corrections. ![]() Zoom LiveTrak L12next Fader MonitoringFor stage or studio work, the Zoom LiveTrak L12next provides five 6.3 mm monitor outputs, four of which can be switched between stereo/headphones and mono/line—useful for IEM mixes, stage monitors, or separate director/camera feeds. An integrated talkback microphone simplifies communication without needing an extra channel or an external microphone. Effects and DAW Integration16 built-in delay/reverb effects with adjustable parameters cover live mix standards. Additionally, the L12next offers DAW controller functions and wireless control via the L12next Control app (iPad)—helpful if the mixer is positioned to the side of the stage or needs to remain out of sight. ![]() Zoom LiveTrak L12next I/O Technical Specifications- 12 channels (8× Mono, 2× Stereo), XLR/6.3 mm - 8 preamps with +70 dB Gain, –128 dBu EIN - 48 V on 1–4 and 5–8; Hi-Z (1–2); Pad –26 dB (3–8) - Channel compressors (1–8), Master compressor - Recording: 14 tracks 24-Bit/96 kHz; Master 32-Bit Float/96 kHz on SD - USB Audio Interface: 14 In/4 Out, 24-Bit/96 kHz; simultaneous SD/Computer recording - Monitoring: 5 outputs (4× switchable Stereo HP / Mono Line) - Effects: 16× Reverb/Delay - Display: 128×64 OLED; LED meter per channel - Scenes: up to 10, fader position indication on recall - Talkback microphone, DAW control, Overdub, Auto-Punch - App control (iPad), Class-Compliant, SD up to 1 TB, Rack kit optional ![]() Zoom LiveTrak L12next The Zoom LiveTrak L12next is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026 and will cost 799 Euros. deutsche Version dieser Seite: Zoom LiveTrak L12next - Mixer, Multitrack-Recorder und Audiointerface |
