Now LG has also introduced a 49" (124cm) large curved monitor in 32:9 format with 5K (5,120 x 1,440 pixels). It replaces two 27" monitors and offers a large desktop, ideal for video editing, for example. The LG 49WL95C-W uses an AH-IPS panel with 10-bit (8-bit plus FRC) color depth and 60 Hz refresh rate and covers 99% of the sRGB color space. The brightness of the display is average with 350 nits, which together with the lack of local dimming suggests that the quality of the HDR10 display will not be very convincing.

The LG 49WL95C-W also offers KVM functionality, up to four computers can be connected to the monitor, which can then be operated alternately via a keyboard and mouse connected to the monitor. LG&s Dual Controller function is a further extension of this feature, which allows the screens of two computers to be displayed side by side (Picture-by-Picture) and both can be controlled simultaneously with a mouse/keyboard, and files can also be transferred from one PC to another via drag & drop.

It is also practical to be able to control the monitor settings from the computer using software rather than using the control buttons on the device. In addition to the basic monitor parameters, it is also possible to set the size and where the images of the various connected PCs or specific applications should be displayed. Different programs can also be assigned different image modes.

Two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, as well as four Type A and one Type C USB 3.0 ports are available at the interfaces. The ambient light sensor adjusts the screen brightness to the current lighting conditions. The monitor with a radius of curvature of 3800mm can be adjusted up to 110mm in height, tilted and swivelled.
