Eizo is now shipping its ColorEdge CG3100X reference monitor, which was announced about a year ago—a 30.5" monitor aimed entirely at professional users in the fields of color grading, VFX, and post-production. The CG3100X offers a true DCI 4K resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels (152 ppi), an integrated sensor for color calibration, and a multitude of color management functions. HDR workflows are also supported. The IPS panel of the ColorEdge CG3100X, with a color depth of 10 bits (24-bit LUT), supports more than 97% of the Adobe RGB color space and 99% of the professional DCI-P3 color space. The Rec. 2020 standard is also supported.
 Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X HDR is displayed with a brightness of up to 500 nits and a typical contrast of 1,800:1 via Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) for broadcast, as well as the PQ curve (ST-2084) for cinematic productions. Pre-installed, factory-calibrated presets for DCI-P3, BT.709, and BT.2020 ensure correct gamma values without manual setup. With the help of Eizo&s ColorNavigator 7 tool, any camera log curve can also be simulated individually as a preview—a useful feature directly on set. The color mode presets can be easily changed using the buttons on the front of the monitor.  Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X Integrated color calibration sensorThe integrated calibration sensor is located in the monitor frame, extends only for measurement, and automates the color calibration process with the help of Eizo&s ColorNavigator 7 software. This is intended to ensure consistent color reproduction in all modes—even across multiple devices on a network via the ColorNavigator Network software. The CG3100X has also received the Fogra "FograCert Softproof Monitor" quality seal in accordance with ISO 12646, making it suitable for color-critical work in the printing industry.  Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X Uncompressed 12-bit 4K via HDMIIn addition to DisplayPort and HDMI (each with support for 4K/60p in 10/12-bit and a variable refresh rate of 23–61 Hz), the CG3100X also features USB-C with 94 W Power Delivery, an Ethernet port, and a USB hub with four USB-A ports. Using the integrated KVM switch, two computers can be operated with a shared mouse, keyboard, and other USB peripherals. The integrated fan is designed to be quiet enough at 20 dB so as not to be distracting. With the help of Fixed Rate Link (FRL) technology, uncompressed 12-bit 4K video data can also be transmitted via HDMI. For precise assessment of content, the ColorEdge CG3100X offers functions such as pixel inspection, gamut warnings, PQ luminance warning, 4K zoom, safe area markers, and marker overlays—all controllable directly via the on-screen display. Even with changing projects, automatic adjustment of color space settings is possible thanks to "Sync Signal."  Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X AI-supported temperature managementA special feature of the ColorEdge CG3100X is the AI-supported temperature management for stabilizing color and brightness values. In combination with Eizo&s DUE technology for homogenizing the screen display, a consistently precise image is intended to be displayed within just three minutes of switching on. Ergonomics, warranty, and sustainabilityThe ergonomic stand allows for height adjustment (155 mm), tilt (–5° to +35°), swivel (344°), and rotation into portrait mode. A monitor hood is included for work with minimal reflections. Eizo provides a five-year warranty including an on-site replacement service, as well as a color and brightness guarantee for 10,000 operating hours.
