Panasonic Ends LUMIX PRO Service

Panasonic is discontinuing the LUMIX PRO Service as of November 30, 2025. Existing members can continue to log in and manage their accounts until December 31, 2025—including backing up personal data.

Lumix Pro was launched in 2019 as a global network offering extensive support and services for professional LUMIX photographers and videographers. The core offering was fast, reliable repair of registered Lumix equipment, initially also including maintenance services. Originally set up as a club with tiered memberships ranging from Red to Platinum in terms of price and scope, the program was scaled back and simplified in 2022 so that buyers of a qualifying camera body could become LUMIX PRO members free of charge, benefiting from a preferred seven-day turnaround time for repairs.

End for LUMIX PRO Service

Now, the program is to be discontinued entirely. According to Panasonic, this step will enable the company to "focus on new activities aimed at supporting our customers and creators even better in the future."

How this improved support will manifest in practice remains unclear for now. Skeptics view the move more as a bad omen for the future of the Lumix camera division. This division recently received a very convincing addition in the form of the LUMIX S1II a few months ago (

here in our practical test), so perhaps one shouldn&t be overly pessimistic.
