With the now available Blackmagic Camera 10.2.2 update, users of the Cinema Camera 6K are also finally getting the eagerly awaited new autofocus features that were released for the Pyxis 6K in June. For over a year, users have been able to try out phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) including continuous tracking as well as face and object recognition in the beta software, which greatly enhances the camera&s functionality, though mainly for the L-mount version. At least that was the case in the beta version, according to Blackmagic. ![]() Blackmagic Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) Also included in the update is optional pre-recording of up to 10 minutes and the ability to record 4-channel audio with the Cinema Camera 6K.
