Indiecam shows an ultra small 4K RAW camera at NAB. The new indieGS4K measures -- as so often with the Austrian manufacturer -- only 35 x 35x 76mm and has a 1" sensor with global shutter and 4K resolution (4096 x 2160; sensor size 3.45 µm). The RAW signal is recorded with 12bit (max 25p) or 10bit (max 30p) on an apparently proprietary external recorder in CinemaDNG. This is bigger than the camera and also much heavier (205 x 135 x 70mm at approx. 1.5kg).
Small C-mount optics are used with the indieGS4K as standard, but an adapter to PL is also available. According to the manufacturer, standard and custom LUTs are supported in terms of gamma; what this refers to for RAW files is not quite clear, possibly an image preview. Hardly anything is known about the included recorder.
Power is supplied via LEMO, image stabilization must be provided externally. Information on price and start of delivery is still pending.
