This lens for the mirrorless Sony E-Mount full-frame cameras has been rumoured to have been known since summer, now it has been announced by Zeiss. It is supposed to offer a fast autofocus and the close-up limit of 24 centimeters for this focal length is very short. The CF in the name stands for Close Focus. The magnification is 1:3.3 with the close-up setting.
On an OLED display, values for distance and depth of field can also be read on this ZEISS Batis. Properties such as floating lens design are intended to ensure uniformly high imaging performance over the entire focus range, while the ZEISS T* coating ensures low reflections. The dust- and splash-proof optics weigh 361g. Delivery is scheduled to start in November for 1,299 euros.
