The latest version of Zhiyun Tech&s gimbal series for smartphones has some major new features. Several control elements have been added to the Smooth 4 and improved to let the user have a more direct influence on the recording - without having to use the smartphone&s touch screen. In addition, there is now a handy side control wheel for controlling focus or zoom, a new subject control knob as well as a larger, more handy central control wheel (including central knob) for selecting the camera settings and three additional buttons for direct selection of functions.

Several special time lapse modes (Timelapse, Motionlapse, Hyperlapse, Fee Style and Slow Motion) should provide interesting recordings in combination with the app on the smartphone. Another new feature is the object tracking mode, which allows the camera to follow automatically selected objects via gimbal. The new Phone Go mode responds precisely to every movement and allows for interesting scene transitions.
The Zhiyun Tech Smooth 4 now has a maximum operating time of 10 hours (4 hours less than the previous version) - battery light indicates how much power is left. Charged via the USB-C port. The smartphone can be powered by the integrated USB port in the head of the gimbal while recording.

The power of the Gimbal engine has been increased so that even heavier smartphones (or mobile phones with extra lens and LED light) can be stabilized - the maximum payload of the Gimbal is 500g according to the YouTube side of Zhiyun Tech (but only 210g according to the homepage).
