'Large' films with a small memory?

Question of alb:
Juni 2008

Hi, I'm now after a few short sequences with MagixVD 2008 and Premiere Pro CS3 cut, I have noted with astonishment that it is on my VISTA PC with 3GB RAM Quad for example PAL shoot with a length s.ca. 3 min to massive problems in the processing of: Magix displays only 'Green Screen' instead of the film and PP CS3 is really only busy with swapping!

Sure, there's a setting there, the man synonymous mt longer adequately handle films - both as synonymous Magix PP? If for any hint or tip grateful!

Reply robbie:

I've s.meinem laptop 1GB and use it to s.and for fast cutting with Premiere Pro, and since I have absolutely no performance problems ...
Because underway and not in the office that I had even recently an 8-minute raw material with 4 hours cut. Without a crash, etc.

Possibly limps with you the entire performance of the PC something behind.
What is it with the hard disks from? Where to save your Project? ...

Reply alb:

Well, the PC is fairly new and probably still not too far 'overloaded' his. Internal disk with 500GB, yet hardly synonymous fragmented. Can you recommend settings under VISTA?

Reply Andreas_Kiel:

Hi,
a 3-minute clip, you should synonymous without Windows swap orgies can intersect. 3 GB and the processor are synonymous in any case sufficient for larger projects. The editing software I do not know personally, but I think that as a reason for exclusion.
Probably the Windows Vista installation or the hardware is "lazy". If the Calculator is new, it contributes to the times and let him Dealers thorough.
Could be that a memory module or two have been adopted. Could be that the drives are not in DMA mode. Could s.IRQ conflicts lie and .. and .. and ..
If this is unfortunately a guessing game, so a remote diagnosis.

Hm .. because the computer is new, I assume SATA disks are installed, since no gibbet UDMA mode. Den gabs formerly with IDE disks.

Quad out her quad. Quad only makes sense as synonymous where he is supported.
I do not think the Magix Video De Lux native quad-core support. - Yes Did not even native 64-bit support.

Would be good if you look at the data your system would post. Possibly. one can then say more. So what a motherboard, the processor exactly what a hard drive (make, connection, etc.)
Windows Vista (which Vista: 32 or 64 bit)
