Help flickers everything in Asia

Question of Jewels:
April 2007

I have me a SonyHVR A1E bought and am driven to Korea. Here, in almost all Innenraeumen fluorescent light, the image on the camera light waves caused permanent. I already have all the combinations of shutter (lowest possible is 50) and exposure tested, it helps nothing. The Slow shutterfunktion camera does not activate, but I suppose that I would have a Bilderverwischung what I want not synonymous. Weiss someone advice?

Reply Peter06:

For us in Europe flimmter the neon lights in 50Hz, which is thus our power to 240V and 50Hz is running. For the human eye is not visible. The PAL has no problems because the frequency 25 is divisible by 50.

In Korea it will be like in the U.S.. There is the power with 60 Hz - hence the neon lights flicker there at 60 Hz you have to your shutter speed to 120 bring, or just a value that is a multiple of 60 is or 60 without a remainder can share (eg 30, is up to you but unfortunately not).

If the frequency of fluorescent lighting and camera not together, cause those pictures that are made when there is no light, a flicker.

Have now seen, un Korea is the current at 60 Hz:

Can you with your camera (without having to look not exactly) on 30i / 30p / 60i or 60p switch? If so, try again. Thus you will have more success than the shutter speed to change.

If all this does not help, a video light could solve the problem.

A little off-topic:

Your problem of the fluorescent tubes, not of neon lights.
Neon is a noble gas that is very often used in neon. if it is a great glowing cola advertising swung wildly from glass tubes can see, then there is probably neon or another inert gas in it, which colored lights.
Fluorescent tubes are the tubes used in many offices and shops s.der ceiling make simple white light.

Then the flickering fluorescent lights no more, but then he has with the whole picture in Europe problems. 50 Hz and 60 Hz now do not fit together, and it will be synonymous in the next 100 years does not change. The only effective way is the (hopefully existing) shutter set at 60 Hz, ie for the foreign network einzutakten frequency as the Abfilmen a tube monitor.

He can convert the signal synonymous. Treasures times each NLE can do that but I have no idea how the quality will suffer.

Peter06 Thanks, that was a Supertip that the Shutterzahl by 60 should share. This klappts. Also nice to know what it was!
