Purchase Tip: Quality and Durability

Question of HMHB:
Juli 2005

Unfortunately I made with my Canon MV 600 bad experiences. Now, the 2nd Repair (290, -).
Because also in a few weeks, the matter is for fatherhood, I want to buy me a new mini-DV. Budget: max 1.000, - for a camera, keeps a long time.
Who can give me a tip. Typical Urlaubs-/Freizeit-Filmer, relatively little movie hours pa
Here are my priorities:

important:
- Durability, processing, solid mechanics
- Can be used synonymous s.Strand, skiing
- Image quality / Optics, Battery Power
- DV in / out
- True 16:9
- Easy handling, little error in using less

less important:
- "Gimmicks," Effects
- Photos

Canon is due to the stupid repairs no longer in question, if it synonymous for the brand is perhaps not typical.

Asking for tips.
