Simple Frage eines "alten Hasen"

Simple question of an "old hands"

Question of Axel aus Overath:
Mai 2007

Hello s.alle who work with the SonyFX7!
For over 20 years as a hobby do I rotate video maker my films, has always been on Sony camcorders. My current piece of jewelry is a TRV900 that I already own a few years, but still very much appreciate. Now I would like in the high realms once owned and liebäugle with a FX7. This has, I believe, everything I need and is still quite compact and lightweight.
Now I used to read about, know almost all facilities synonymous features, but ... Please where are the keys to me so familiar for the election of the fader or the Backlilght function? Do I have any digitaten Effects, such as the TRV900? (Flash, Lumi, Still Image, Solarize etc) Or is that for devices of this class is not more common?
When I looked at the new handy little Sony camcorder hard views have, I found these keys are not synonymous, but then had to find that the functions in part via a touch screen to activate are! What a horror!
I would be grateful if someone who works with the FX7, my horizons would expand a little.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Axel,

I have the FX 7 does not, however, not all of the buttons you un d s.Camcorders functions pointless stuff? Sowas macht man but in the post. Except perhaps the backlight button. The s.ehesten still makes sense. The FX 1 is s.meiner incidentally synonymous turn.
Makes sense, it is my opinion, if s.Gehäuse Aperture, man. White balance, man. Tonaussteuerung, connectable ND filter, shutter, man. Gain Focus and attainable.

Hello Frank!

Thanks for your answer!

Sure I do not All functions mentioned s.Gehäuse ... But in the TRV900 is already awesome geöst: the buttons for WB, Shutter Speed, and Exposure Program AE are arranged behind the values are on a revolving wheel set. The switch for the fader is front and easily accessible.

How is that at the high end devices? Can the functions of the least programmable keys? If ever the Edit / Search feature available?

Greeting

Axel

Reply Kujo:

hab die FX7 is not to hand but it has a
very concise user:
rear settings for gain / shutter / wb and finally the menue
as usual with the press of a button and then rotate the wheel.
s.der site: hide with rad / focus-autofocus/expand focus /
3 assignbuttons and under the lcd-placement 3 next assignknöpfe
zebra / picture-profile / volume / anzeige Others

Thanks for the replies!

I have at times worried Sonydie manual werd times and then bury next!

An Edit / Search feature, as I have in my "old" puppy love to know and have learned there is, so far as I understand it, probably not for the FX7. Shame on you! It is precisely this feature, I very often used.

Greetings from Overath

Hello Axel,
there is still synonymous the HDR-FX1 is the predecessor model, but has some advantages such as 1 / 3 "CCD chips

Reply Frank B.:

Hello Axel,

I can only reiterate Udos Council. Look at all the cases yet to FX 1. She really is in many (critical) issues better than the 7th FX We have recently written about.

It is synonymous of you want the Edit button Serch. It is here only RecReview. I think that is what you are looking for. Cams are both priced at the same level now.

In the table has an error. Of course, the FX 1 is a component output. Only the HDMI output does not exist (unfortunately). But you can help this otherwise synonymous. The real trump cards are probably the imager and the lens. Also does it sound than the 7th FX This must only prove;).

Hello!

Yes, the reference to the FX1 was so interesting! A pity that it had the HDMI interface is missing. Now I have another new "brain". What does eigenltich

S.Frank question: where is because the Edit / Search or Cue/Revie- button?. On the beautiful 3D image I can not readily find ... Sorry that I'm so drau rum ride, but I already had a somewhat voluminous Sony (shoulder) camcorder of this feature had not synonymous, and it was extremely annoying if you end a scene cut or re-make: first in the VCR mode switch back / front-running, body mark, pause recording, press again in the Camera mode .... because I hit the button Edit/Search- with my TRV900 like a salvation before!

How do your users FX7 this? If the procedure of me there synonymous necessary, or does it somehow but elegant?

How do I eigenltich the missing HDMI port?

Sowas macht man usually cut when s.PC. I usually never coil during the recording. Your Posts to hear, as if you do not post s.PC. The current put the camcorder, however, so play the digital effects and the synonymous "EditSearch" button no more important role.

why is it because the fx7/fx1 be?
enough, perhaps even the HC7 or HV20?

Hello Axel, the search button is located above the settings of the ND filter, of the 3 buttons so the left.

The HDMI interface is not as easy to replace. For control purposes, but it is synonymous to the Component connection. In any test I have read that the difference with HDMI is not that big should be. For digital recordings in the calculator shows you the existing Firewire interface. From the PC then on a graphics card with HDMI or DVI with full resolution image. Alternatively, there is now synonymous relatively inexpensive media boxes / players, some even ogiginalen Mpg 2 files of the HDV camcorder can play.

Here is a relatively expensive copy:

Hello!

First of all, thank you s.Frank: I think the Cue / Review function s.der FX1 is synonymous with the FX7, but there as programmable function for the three programmable buttons. But this is probably not the Edit / Search function, but "only" the possibility of the end of the last scene for 1-2 seconds to be, right? MIt Edit / Search, I can regelrecht navigate in the scene without interrupting the recording mode, quite deliberately, for example 10 seconds back and re-record s.der body.

To note the "money": I edit my videos already s.PC, but even though I have an Athlon x2 5200 + and 2 GB of RAM, but I always found that three quarters of video (in a normal DVD quality) including background music and commentary to the maximum of what the PC still without Mucke can handle. As I try it already, the raw material as far as possible "look" on the camcorder. And it helps me to Edit / Search feature very much.

Whether because the FX1/FX7 must be: of course not! But the alternatives all have a catch somewhere, whether rigid or even non-existent viewfinders, housings, which are already in a loose pocket, the brand name (with JVC I have only bad experiences !!!!), or just missing but loved features.

So far, seemed to me the FX 7 nor the solution to my ideal s.nächsten comes, not too big of a manufacturer, of which I am accustomed quality, sufficient in size and function are not too expensive. For the three or four films that I prodziere the year, so I should not a small cost too much.

I will you, if you're interested, to keep, as I chose, and then synonymous like my experiences.

Greetings!

With which program you cut it?
I with Premiere Pro 2.0. Even on my notebook (Intel 2.6 Gigaherz 1 processor, 512 MB Ram), the processing speed and ok regardless of the length of the film. The number of cuts does not matter. Also Multicam editing with 2 Kamereas simultaneously with 50% processor utilization coped. If I were a lot of effects (eg, color over the entire film) insert comes into the real-time preview Jerkiness because it helps zwischenrendern.
